In Aztec history, these traditional rainsticks were created to bring about rainstorms. The organic sound of rain is created by lifting these naturally fallen cactus lengths that have had their spikes inverted inside the stick, sounding off the gravel that has been encased inside. Hand made in Chile.

Decorated in traditional colours with woven fabric, the fabric and colours will vary with each purchase.

Description

In Aztec history, rainsticks were created with a belief that they could bring about rainstorms. This rainstick has been made in Chile using naturally fallen cactus lengths. The cactus spines are then pushed back through the skin and tiny gravel used to create the rain sound within when the stick is lifted
